Remedy Balm
The Herpes Witch Remedy Balm recipe is antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial, and helps heal various skin conditions. Healing occurs rapidly when you support your body's immune system and restore your skin to health. It's non-staining and has a pleasant scent that disappears quickly. It glides gently onto the skin, warming your body's temperature without further pulling or damaging sensitive skin.
In addition to relieving herpes outbreaks, The Herpes Witch Remedy Balm can help heal acne breakouts, pimples, boils, insect bites, minor fungal infections, mild to moderate burns, sunburn, and light to moderate skin irritations. It contains a 5% dilution ratio, the maximum ratio considered safe for adults to use topically. Therefore, it is meant only for adults and children over 12. Performing a patch test beforehand is a good idea to check for any sensitivity.
Ingredients
The Herpes Witch Remedy Balm contains The Herpes Witch Remedy Oil in a base of all-natural ingredients.
- Virgin coconut oil removes the outer layer of dead skin cells, smoothing the skin. It penetrates deeper layers of the skin and strengthens the underlying tissues, helping heal and repair age-damaged skin. The saturated fat in coconut oil is called lauric acid. Lauric acid converts into monolaurin in the body, which is otherwise found only in human breast milk. Monolaurin supports the immune system. Other studies suggest that monolaurin can block signals between "problem-posing" cells, disrupting their function, thereby preventing herpes outbreaks.
- Olive oil has antioxidant and antibacterial properties, contains vitamins A, D, E, and K, and is an excellent skin moisturizer.
- Avocado oil is full of antioxidants and healthy fats. It's rich in oleic acid (a monounsaturated fat) and vitamins A and E. Avocado oil soothes the skin and enhances wound healing. It also improves the absorption of other skin moisturizers.
- Jojoba oil is a liquid wax ester derived from the cold-pressed seeds of desert shrubs that promotes healing and minimizes scarring. It is similar to the sebum that skin produces for moisture and elasticity. However, the skin's sebum production decreases around age 20. Jojoba mixes with the body's natural sebum and helps maintain suppleness by forming a thin, non-greasy lipid layer that helps retain moisture in your skin without clogging pores. Jojoba contains vitamin E, B-complex, silicon, chromium, copper, zinc, and iodine.
- Vitamin E has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It supports the immune system and helps healthy skin cells regenerate. It is also a natural preservative.
- Beeswax is anti-allergenic and contains anti-inflammatory properties. It soothes irritated skin and locks in moisture to keep skin hydrated, plump, and smooth. Beeswax can help keep the skin firm and plump. It is also a natural pain reliever.
The following recipe makes approximately two ounces (4 tablespoons) of balm, enough to last several months.
What You'll Need
You'll need a small pan, a glass measuring cup (preferably with a handle), measuring spoons, paper towels, something to stir with (a spoon, chopstick, or popsicle stick), and the following ingredients.
Fill a shallow pan with 2-3 inches of water and place it on medium heat. Then, place the following ingredients in a glass measuring cup and put the cup into the water in the shallow pan.
- Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
- Avocado oil – 3 teaspoons
- Jojoba oil – 1 teaspoon
- Vitamin E oil – 2-3 drops or use the contents of 2-3 softgels (optional)
- Virgin Coconut oil – 2 teaspoons
- Beeswax– 2 heaping teaspoons (from a block or pastilles)
When all ingredients have melted, add 57 drops of The Herpes Witch Remedy Oil, stir to mix, pour into containers, and allow it to cool and solidify. You can also use just one container. It will take longer to solidify, which is okay. You can put it in the fridge to speed up the process. Wait to cap it tightly until it’s solid.
Note: The color of the beeswax determines the color of your balm.
Remedy Balm Uses & Precautions
Topical Application to Kill Germs & Boost Your Immune System
Massage a pea-sized amount of balm onto your feet in the morning and, again, at night during cold and flu season or whenever you have been around anyone ill. It may help boost your immune system and kill germs that cause colds and the flu. Or massage the same amount onto the back of your neck, lower back (right under your waistline), the backs of your upper legs, and your feet (tops and bottoms). Do this up to 4 times daily for up to 14 days, which is usually the average recovery time for most viruses.
For Topical Pain
The Herpes Witch Remedy Balm works best for pain near the skin's surface, such as on the knuckles, elbows, and feet. To ease the pain, massage a dime-sized amount of balm directly over the muscle or joint 3-4 times daily. Don't slather on this formula. Using too much could cause sensitivity.
The balm can be applied directly to herpes lesions to relieve burning, itching, and pain. It can also be used on Shingles lesions. Apply with a Q-Tip every four hours. Be sure to use a clean Q-Tip each time you dip into your container to avoid contaminating your jar of balm.
Storage: Store away from heat and light in a tightly lidded container.
