The Herpes Witch Immuni-Tea

The Herpes Witch Immuni-Tea is best to drink when feeling highly anxious or in the evening to relax before bed. It is safe enough for adults to drink daily over the long term to help nourish their immune systems.

Sencha (green tea with less than 3% caffeine) and raspberry are rich in antioxidants and provide a pleasant taste. Peppermint calms the stomach. Lemon balm, catnip, and lavender are all antiviral and calming herbs and can be slightly sedating.

I included lavender for its medicinal benefits but omit it if you don't like its taste. You can substitute with another herb, such as cistus (antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral), chamomile (calming), nori seaweed (antiviral), or passionflower (peaceful sleep).

You’ll need a large bowl, measuring cups, measuring spoons, and a tightly lidded jar (preferably dark glass or ceramic) to store your tea.

Ingredients

Blend the following dried bulk teas.

  • 2 Tsp green tea (preferably Sencha, which contains less caffeine)
  • 3 Tsp lemon balm
  • 3 Tsp catnip
  • 1 Tsp peppermint
  • 2 Tsp rosehips
  • 1 Tsp lavender flower buds
  • 2 Tsp raspberry(leaf)

Use just one teaspoon per cup with 6-8 ounces of near-boiling water.

Steep for 5-10 minutes, and strain or remove the tea strainer (infuser). This tea is delicious, hot or cold, with or without ice. Add honey or all-natural stevia for sweetness and additional health benefits. Discontinue stevia if diarrhea develops.

Drink one cup daily to help prevent and relieve colds, the flu, cold sores, genital herpes, and Shingles. During active viral infection, drink 3-4 cups daily for no more than 2 weeks. Give yourself a 7-10-day break before resuming.

Store your tea in a tightly sealed jar or can and place it away from heat and bright light to protect its freshness.

Note: While rosehips contain high amounts of vitamin C, there is not enough used in this formula to warrant concern about taking too much vitamin C.
