The Herpes Witch Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Tea Recipe

My anti-inflammatory turmeric tea recipe tastes really good! It's truly delicious and not at all foul-tasting like so many turmeric tea recipes. And. It's safe to drink daily over the long term to help reduce inflammation. This recipe makes 1-2 servings.

You'll need a small saucepan, a cup, a fork, or a whisk, and the following ingredients.

  • 1 – 1 ½ cups milk (or your favorite milk substitute, such as almond or oat milk)
  • ½ - 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch of black pepper (necessary to absorb the turmeric, but only a pinch)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of ginger (optional)
  • ½ - 1 teaspoon coconut oil (or another healthy fat)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • raw honey to taste

Combine all ingredients, EXCEPT FOR RAW HONEY, in a medium pan and bring them to a boil while stirring. Don't boil. Sweeten with raw honey just before drinking. Never add honey to the ingredients in the pan, as it dramatically reduces their medicinal benefits.

To make a frothy beverage, use a wire whisk or a tiny electric mixer while stirring. For curb appeal, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon (or even nutmeg) on top. Cinnamon also helps prevent blood sugar spikes.

Sip your tea. Don't gulp. The spices in this brew can warm you up too quickly if you drink it too fast. Then again, that might be the perfect "cure" when it's cold outside!

Note: Turmeric is usually well-tolerated with no side effects. It's perfectly fine to consume if you have no gallbladder. However, you may want to avoid it if you have gallbladder disease. I've read it may cause spasms. However, everyone is different.
